Who needs the MDAC?
All foreign citizens travelling to Malaysia, unless exempt. Exempt: citizens of Singapore; diplomatic and official passport holders; malaysian permanent residents and long-term pass holders; brunei General Certificate of Identity holders; brunei-Malaysia Frequent Traveller Facility holders; thailand border pass holders; indonesia cross-border travel document (PLB) holders.
Is the MDAC free?
Yes, on the official site, imigresen-online.imi.gov.my.
Do children need one?
Every foreign traveller needs their own MDAC, including children.
