Guides for this trip

Thailand questions, answered

Is the TDAC free?

When can I submit my TDAC?

Within 3 days before you arrive in Thailand, counting the day you arrive.

Do children need a TDAC?

Yes. Every traveller needs one, including babies and children. One person can submit for up to 10 travellers on one application.

How long can I stay in Thailand without a visa?

Up to 30 days on New Zealand, Australian, US, British, Canadian, German and Japanese passports. Thailand cut its visa-free stay from 60 to 30 days on 15 September 2026.

Do I need a TDAC to transit through Bangkok?

Not if you stay airside and don't pass through immigration. If you leave the airport, you need one.
