New Zealand entry requirements
Everyone arriving in New Zealand, including New Zealand citizens, completes a free New Zealand Traveller Declaration, from 24 hours before their trip starts. Visitors on US, British, Canadian and Japanese passports also need an NZeTA (NZ$17 in the app or NZ$23 online) plus the NZ$100 visitor levy. Australian citizens need neither.

Do New Zealand citizens need to complete the NZ Traveller Declaration?
Yes. Everyone arriving in New Zealand completes one, including New Zealand citizens and children. It's free online or in the NZTD app.
When can I submit my NZ Traveller Declaration?
From 24 hours before your trip to New Zealand starts, up until you reach passport control.
How much does an NZeTA cost?
NZ$17 in the official app or NZ$23 on the Immigration New Zealand website, plus the NZ$100 International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy for most visitors.
Do Australians need an NZeTA?
No. Australian citizens don't need an NZeTA or a visa, and don't pay the visitor levy.
